Pre Wedding Photography by Brandon Chong - 20th December 2017

Hi friends. Thanks for dropping by. Just to share one of our recent pre wedding photography session assignment. We started the photo shoot at Flame Photography Studio who is our affiliated partner. And the make up was done there too. And after the indoor studio photo shooting, we will be heading out to 2 different locations as requested by our lovely bride and groom.

This time, we got the opportunity to shoot a pre wedding at FRIM keeping and also Sekeping Tenggiri. This was the first time we shot at these two locations and it turned out really good.

The two photo montage above was shot at FRIM Kepong. Even though the weather is not too kind to us at first when it started to rain during the beginning of the photo shoot at FRIM, but thank God, the rain stopped giving us an hour or two of opportunity to continue our photo shooting.

My experience shooting in FRIM Kepong was amazing. Don't know that it was a huge area once you have entered the main gate. And after a 5 minutes drive from the entrance, only to realize that we have to endure a 5 minutes climb to get to the water fall. Wasn't so bad even though I have to carry a bunch of gears with me.

Once we reached the waterfall area, its not what I would say amazing. The scene was mostly forest trees and rocks. The waterfall is not what I would call fascinating.

Further up we can find a bridge. Unfortunately we did not manage to explore further and the photo shooting was a bit rush and tensed because the rain is on and off and the place is getting dark. With this lightning condition or almost non of it, luckily we came prepared with additional lighting and strobes. It was worth the extra weight dragging the bag up the steps. Nonetheless, we had a nice and fruitful pre wedding photography session.

After FRIM, the next stop we will be heading to Sekeping Tenggiri, Bangsar. This is actually quite a cool.place. It's basically a house whereby they convert it into a handful of individual getaway romes with plants and decorations surrounding the house to give a relaxing feel and also there is a small pool In the middle of the house.

After the bride has finished with the make up and hairdo, this time we get to have a more relaxing and comfortable photography session because luckily we have the whole house to ourselves. And this time the lighting is on our side. We spent another few hours of photo shooting here at Sekeping Tenggiri.

Overall we are very satisfied with the outcome of the photo shoot. Even though the weather is not that perfect in the beginning, but as a professional, we are ready for any conditions that the nature throws at us.

So the next time you are planning for your pre wedding photoshoot, there are now two more options you can choose from. But please note that both these two places isn't free. For FRIM, you will need to pay a certain fee (about RM100 if not mistaken) and for Sekeping Tenggiri, you will need to book a room there at about RM2XX. If I am not mistaken. But to get the exact price, please kindly contact the respective venue for your next photo shoot.

Until then, thanks for your time.

Every pre wedding photo shoot is unique and moments are always there to be captured. I am always looking out for moments. I don't actually spend to much time on setting up the most artistic shot in the world just to make my portfolio look nice. You will see me spending most of the time observing and concentrating on you, infarct sometime starring at you to capture the precise moments when it happens. What my aim is to get genuine smile and genuine expression and reaction. Mom's smiling, mom and bride hugging while dad is looking at them emotionally. Those to me, is much more meaningful and priceless.

Hiring a wedding photographer in my honest opinion is not just the money factor. Yes, it is one of the main factor to decide. But client must also look into the relationship part. One of the most important factor is also to choose a photographer that your are comfortable to work with. As I always tell my clients. your need to be comfortable with me around you and sometimes even very closed to you most of the time. As I will be the one that will spend most of the time with you during your wedding day. I always suggest to our clients that we need to build a friendship first before anything else. To know more about each other. That way, hopefully you wont feel uneasy when we are around during your wedding day.

Brandon Chong's Wedding Photography Malaysia - 1st Oct 2017

Dear readers.

Welcome to my blog. Its been a very busy and crazy period this couple of month. Despite that, I am glad we still get the chance to share with you all out there yet another wedding that me and my wife did.

As usual, we start out journey early in order to capture these shots. The bride doing the make up. It was early and mos of the family members are still sleeping.

For this particular shot below, the room has quite a lot of stuff. And its very normal. Wait till you see our room. You will need to sweep things lying around with your foot while walking pass.

And to counter this challenge, we used the door as an isolation. And it kinda isolate the stuff inside the room and concentrate the photo on the bride and make up artist.

The photo below is the usual during make up photo of the bride. Usually we will wait until about 60% to 70% make up done when we take this type of shots. For sure, the bride will not want a photo without the make up on and face that looks like they just woke up from the bed.

With proper photography gears and equipment to blur he background and isolate the background from the bride.

It was a relaxing and calm morning. Until the groom arrived. Things starts to get crazy.

And as usual, every wedding will have their own gate crashing games.

And after all the craziness, is time to get back to serious business.

A prayer session lead by the " dai kum jie "

For the photo above, we think is nice to change the color to black and white. It bring our the "feel" to the image. But as always, we gave our client both version nonetheless.

A genuine smile from the bride's mom while looking at daddy. Sweet.....

During the tea ceremony.

A family portrait of the bride's side

A group photos of the bride's made.

How can we miss a fun photo?

And as they we entering the car, I got this shot while they we preparing to close the door and start the journey to the groom's house.

The photo below is just one of my favorites. It was natural and sweet.....

Once we have done with all the ceremony and rituals, I get the bride and grooms for a couple portrait session.

And comes dinner time......

There was a special violin performance. And it was so cool having a real violinist playing while the bride and groom is macing in.

For the photo below. During the cake cutting ceremony, I usually will go up the stage to get this shot.

And we will also get this shot as well.

And after all the usual ceremony and the wedding is almost ending, its time for toasting ( Yam Sing )

And after all that is done, how can we miss a family portrait with session.

The wedding wend on smoothly without any hiccups. Every one was having a good time. It was another exciting wedding photography task for us.

Brandon Chong's Wedding Photography Malaysia

Dear readers.

Good day. It been a while since the last time I posted. Its been busy months since my baby boy was born. Here are some of the image that I would like to share.

Even though busy with the new born with unavoidable daddy's job. But we manage to slip in one or two weddings during this busy period.

This time we get to shot a wedding reception at a 5 star hotel in Putra Jaya. The place was magnificent and the decoration is superb. The only problem is that the parking is quite far from the lobby. And yes if you are lucky every now and then there will be a shutter bugger to fetch you to and fro the lobby and parking.

Nothing beats a natural selfie smile.

A detail shot of the decorations and flowers

The lovely bride and her lovely sister

Father and son moment

As a father my self. I can resist taking this particular photo. For me, I cherish this kind of moments. He is actually the bride's brother and I bet he will be so happy to see this photo.

Grandma is so cute that I cannot miss this shot.

Bride whispering something to the groom.

I was hunting around looking for moment and here I saw the bride whispering something to the groom. And "click click" I captured it. I thought it would be cool to change it into black and white. But I gave both the colored one and the black and white one to the bride for them to choose.

The photo below was taken as they we standing below the beautiful aisle decoration and I got the bride and groom to look at each other and have this photo taken.

The photo below is when both the bride and groom were seated and I went near and called the bride's name and they looked at me and "click click" got it. Enjoy your meal......

Nothing beats a genuine smile.

Genuine smile from the bride's father and immediately I captured it.

Towards the middle of the wedding reception, the bride and groom is going around tables to greet the guests

After that, it was full of fun and laughter towards the end. With friends hugging and "cheersing".

It was a very pleasant and relaxing wedding. With around 10 tables everyone got to greet and catch up with each other.

Every wedding is unique and moments are always there to be captured. I am always looking out for moments. I don't actually spend to much time on setting up the most artistic shot in the world just to make my portfolio look nice. Brandon Chong - A Wedding Photographer here in Malaysia

Good day readers.

Sharing yet another set of my wedding photography works. It was a relaxing and easy going wedding. Wedding photography is my passion. And I always get the same excitement when there is an upcoming wedding photography assignment. Do I feel nervous, YES, definitely. Nervous because I am always striving to do better and to capture moments. There is no formula for photo journalism style photography. Unlike poses and artistic shots. You can repeat the same poses in every wedding.

Some of the obstacles in order to get the bride.

Its good that you have an assistant photographer with you. In this case, my wife as the second photographer is stationed inside the bride's room and getting this shot that I will be missing outside.

Mum is smiling and dad is looking at her. As a professional photographer, I am also in a hunt of all these kind of moments that can be very meaningful.
