Brandon Chong's Wedding Photography Malaysia

Dear readers.

Good day. It been a while since the last time I posted. Its been busy months since my baby boy was born. Here are some of the image that I would like to share.

Even though busy with the new born with unavoidable daddy's job. But we manage to slip in one or two weddings during this busy period.

This time we get to shot a wedding reception at a 5 star hotel in Putra Jaya. The place was magnificent and the decoration is superb. The only problem is that the parking is quite far from the lobby. And yes if you are lucky every now and then there will be a shutter bugger to fetch you to and fro the lobby and parking.

Nothing beats a natural selfie smile.

A detail shot of the decorations and flowers

The lovely bride and her lovely sister

Father and son moment

As a father my self. I can resist taking this particular photo. For me, I cherish this kind of moments. He is actually the bride's brother and I bet he will be so happy to see this photo.

Grandma is so cute that I cannot miss this shot.

Bride whispering something to the groom.

I was hunting around looking for moment and here I saw the bride whispering something to the groom. And "click click" I captured it. I thought it would be cool to change it into black and white. But I gave both the colored one and the black and white one to the bride for them to choose.

The photo below was taken as they we standing below the beautiful aisle decoration and I got the bride and groom to look at each other and have this photo taken.

The photo below is when both the bride and groom were seated and I went near and called the bride's name and they looked at me and "click click" got it. Enjoy your meal......

Nothing beats a genuine smile.

Genuine smile from the bride's father and immediately I captured it.

Towards the middle of the wedding reception, the bride and groom is going around tables to greet the guests

After that, it was full of fun and laughter towards the end. With friends hugging and "cheersing".

It was a very pleasant and relaxing wedding. With around 10 tables everyone got to greet and catch up with each other.

Every wedding is unique and moments are always there to be captured. I am always looking out for moments. I don't actually spend to much time on setting up the most artistic shot in the world just to make my portfolio look nice. You will see me spending most of the time observing and concentrating on you, infarct sometime starring at you to capture the precise moments when it happens. What my aim is to get genuine smile and genuine expression and reaction. Mom's smiling, mom and bride hugging while dad is looking at them emotionally. Those to me, is much more meaningful and priceless.

Hiring a wedding photographer in my honest opinion is not just the money factor. Yes, it is one of the main factor to decide. But client must also look into the relationship part. One of the most important factor is also to choose a photographer that your are comfortable to work with. As I always tell my clients. your need to be comfortable with me around you and sometimes even very closed to you most of the time. As I will be the one that will spend most of the time with you during your wedding day. I always suggest to our clients that we need to build a friendship first before anything else. To know more about each other. That way, hopefully you wont feel uneasy when we are around during your wedding day.

Brandon Chong - A Wedding Photographer here in Malaysia

Good day readers.

Sharing yet another set of my wedding photography works. It was a relaxing and easy going wedding. Wedding photography is my passion. And I always get the same excitement when there is an upcoming wedding photography assignment. Do I feel nervous, YES, definitely. Nervous because I am always striving to do better and to capture moments. There is no formula for photo journalism style photography. Unlike poses and artistic shots. You can repeat the same poses in every wedding.

Some of the obstacles in order to get the bride.

Its good that you have an assistant photographer with you. In this case, my wife as the second photographer is stationed inside the bride's room and getting this shot that I will be missing outside.

Mum is smiling and dad is looking at her. As a professional photographer, I am also in a hunt of all these kind of moments that can be very meaningful.

Brandon Chong's Wedding Photography

Hi friends.

Just to share another sets of my work as a wedding photographer based here in Cheras Selangor Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. I love photography. Being a photographer is not just a job for me. Is my passion. And every time if I got a photography job be it wedding, event, studio portrait, party, anniversary and others. I feel excited and looked forward to do my best for it.

This portrait was taken after the bride is all ready. Saw a nice light source and we used it to create this kind of skin contorting photo.

A few more portrait photos of the lovely bride

This is quite special as the bride groom is having a chat with the bride I manage to capture the reflation through the mirror which make it a bit special. Oh and with the black and white effect of course.

Place this group photo with a bright window behind to create a more dramatic special kind of look.

Its game time.

Always looking for smiles and this was one of my favorites.

And of we go to the church wedding ceremony. This wedding was held at the beautiful St Ignatius Church Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

A nice wide angle shot of the wedding ceremony.

This particular photo was taken by my wife who is my second shooter and I love this shot because you can see the Pastor in between them while they are kissing and it bring out a very priceless moment.

Pre Wedding Photo Shooting in a garden at Dataran C180 Cheras Malaysia

Get nice photos even at a simple place like Dataran C180 rooftop garden

For this particular photo shoot, its not so much about the location. For me, it never is. Most important is how the couple feel with each other. From my experience, the best photos are not so much on how nice the location is. But how the couple express their feelings with each other. And my job is to get hem to express it out and capture it.

^ For the small photo above, what I did is just ask the groom to give the bride a kiss in the cheek. And she naturally closed her eyes and I captured it. I did not tell her to do so. It was all natural.

^ How I got this picture above is also natural. The groom was looking at the camera and while trying to get them into posing position, the bride suddenly whisper something to the groom's ear and "click click click" I manage to capture it.

We did all this shots in a public roof top garden at Dataran C180, Cheras. Nothing fancy here at all. Its not even on the top 10,000 list of best pre wedding location in Malaysia either. But with the help of this lovely couple, we manage to get some great meaningful and memorable shots.

But if you do have the opportunity to have you pre wedding photo session in one of the top 10 places in the world, by all means, go for it and enjoy it. But if you don't, nothing to worry either. Nice and suitable place are everywhere.

ROM Ceremony Photography @ Thean Hou Temple, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

It was a bright sunny morning. This lovely couple is getting ready to be lawfully married. Witnessing them are the parents and friends who were present on that day.

I can see they are nervous. Just like us when we did our ROM at JPN Putra Jaya a few years back. Not knowing what to say and what to do next. I Spent most of the time starring at the ROM Officer to wait for next instruction. Until now, I still did not know what hit me. How I wish I had a video recording of the ceremony but unfortunately I didn't.

^ During the ROM Solemnization

^ The exchanging of the ring

^ Done the ring exchanging thing

And after the ceremony, things will be free and easy. We spend time taking some family portraits and fiends portraits. Then we let the couple have their lunch break before we get them together for a lovely couple portrait session around the venue.

There are plenty of nice location and scenery for beautiful portraits. One of my favorites will be the arch with the flower wrapped around it. It makes the image lively and vibrant full with colors.

After a few hundred shots, we are end the photo session with the finale.

A million thanks to this lovely newly marriage couple for giving us the opportunity to be part of this wonderful and memorable event. It was an honor. Me and my team truly appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

How about you guys. Need a photographer for your big day? Be it wedding, ROM, pre wedding, corporate event, pregnancy, vacation, birthday, anniversary, family portrait, graduation portrait, corporate portrait, individual portrait, fashion and others, you name it.
